I was raised in the fertile Willamette Valley in Oregon, and my artistic perception is deeply rooted in my experiences in nature. After moving to Portland, Oregon, I began a parallel career as an advertising art director and a fine artist. I showcased my artwork in regional galleries, the Portland Art Museum, and other museums. In the mid-70s, I created over 100 posters for various events and organizations in Oregon. At the same time, I exhibited my paintings in Seattle, Denver, Portland, and San Francisco.

In the late 70s, I taught drawing at the Pacific Northwest College of Art until I moved to Puerto Rico in the mid-80s. There, I began exhibiting my paintings of exotic flora and island landmarks in galleries and museum shows. In 1994, I moved to New York and started exhibiting my work in Cleveland, New York City, and on Long Island. My most recent exhibit was at the Nassau County Museum of Art, titled "ENERGY, the Power of Art," in 2019. I currently reside in Greenport, Long Island, NY.
